Day 0, 17th August 2019: Arrival in Tofo
It is recommended that guests arrive in the afternoon to have ample time to get settled ready for an early start the next morning. Depending on whether guests fly into Vilanculos or Maputo we are happy to assist with organizing transfer.
Day 1, Day 2 & Day 3: Diving in Tofo
You will be discovering the dive sites where MMF's founder Dr. Andrea Marshall and Dr. Simon Pierce first started their research on manta rays and whale sharks. Tofo offers a multitude of dive sites for all levels which will give everyone the chance to get really comfortable under water and adapt to the area’s dive conditions.
Accomodation at the beautiful boutique hotel Baia Sonambula in Tofo.
Day 4: Transfer to Vilanculos
We will be driving to Vilanculos. If guests wish we can schedule a dive in the afternoon. Otherwise this is the perfect day to just relax and dive into some on-land activities with our Marine Scientists.
Accomodation at the beautiful Vilanculos Beach Lodge.
Day 5 & Day 6: Diving at Bazaruto Archipelago
Discover the dives sites of the Bazaruto Archipelago. We will not only dive these stunning sites but will also explore the Archipelago on the boat to look for Dugongs and other underwater creatures.
Day 7: Diving or Dry Day
Depending on the time of departing flights on the day after this day might be a dry day - perfect to explore Vilanculos and enjoy activities such as horseback riding. To wrap up the trip and recap the beautiful memories we will host a private dinner and talk for guests (subject to host availability).
Day 8, 25th August: Departure Day.
We are happy to assist with subsequent travel plans and airport transfers.
